Smoky Quartz, Ammonite and Citrine Beads

Smoky quartz is a grey brown macro-crystalline. It is said to be the stone of endurance and to transform negative into positive energy. May it give you peaceful dreams and protect you from any evil. Dune beads feels it would be a good thing to have.

Citrine owes its name to the lemon and to its yellow color. In the past and due to its color, it was sometimes called topaz, but this yellow to brown quartz mineral has a different hardness. Natural citrine owes its yellow color to a tiny amount of iron oxide, but in most of the cases, it is heated amethyst or smoky quartz. When natural citrine and amethyst occur together in the same mineral, it is called ametrine. Citrine should bring prosperity.

Ammonites are an extinct group of marine molluscs which are related to the squid and the octopus and as a consequence, they lived floating in the open water. It seems that the larger shells belonged to females, while the smaller belonged to males of the same species. They became extinct in the same period as the dinosaurs. Their fossilized shells are often spiral-shaped, like the horns of a ram, hence the reference to the Egyptian god Ammon.
